Dr. Miguel Saucedo is a proud native of Laredo, Texas, and a dedicated healthcare provider and educator committed to delivering compassionate, family-centered care. He leads Medpoint Urgent Care with a philosophy centered on providing fast, reliable, and affordable healthcare while treating every patient with the same care and respect he would provide to his own family.
Dr. Saucedo earned his Bachelor of Science in Nursing with honors and his Master of Science in Nursing from Texas A&M International University (TAMIU). He subsequently earned his Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) from the University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio.
As a board-certified Family Nurse Practitioner, Dr. Saucedo has provided urgent care, family medicine, and internal medicine services since 2010. His extensive clinical experience has allowed him to care for patients across the lifespan while developing a strong commitment to accessible, patient-centered healthcare in the Laredo community.
In addition to his clinical practice, Dr. Saucedo serves as a Clinical Assistant Professor in the College of Nursing & Health Sciences at Texas A&M International University. He teaches a broad range of undergraduate and graduate courses, including Advanced Health Assessment, Advanced Pathophysiology, Advanced Pharmacology, Population Health, Theories Influencing Practice Research & Advanced Role, Transformational Leadership, and Diagnostic Reasoning and Clinical Procedures.
With extensive experience as both an educator and practicing clinician, Dr. Saucedo brings together academic excellence and real-world clinical experience. His commitment to both education and patient care allows him to prepare future nurses and advanced practice providers while continuing to serve the healthcare needs of his community.
